i had to uninstall iis from my 2003 server, however when i try to reinstall
it keeps looking for iisapp.vb_ file on sp1 disk. i have provided
the disk but it refuses to except and continues to require disc.
I have looked everywhere and can find no fix.
Any help with this one would be much appreciated.

Insert the Windows 2003 CD Rom and browse to the I386 directory.

Create the file itself?
and save it to your setup location?

Try pointing it to C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386.
This is were your service pack specific files should be kept.

No clue why this is happening specifically, but you can try this to
decompress iisapp.vb_ to iisapp.vbs. Open a command prompt and "cd" to
the appropriate directory. Then type the following command:
expand iisapp.vb_ iisapp.vbs
-Nate
