Anything in the event log? Is the machine in the same domain? or is =
each box in a workgroup? The credentials getting passed need to be an =
admin on the remote box.

Same domain, admin password. Still access denied. Event logs say =
username and or password unknown. Even if I make a local account in =
administrator's group, still no godd.

Hmm. Here are a few things I would check. Some might seem not related, =
but it'll help confirm things are setup correctly.

Do you run WINS? if so, is both machines registered WINS.

Are the DNS settings and reverse records correct.

Can you log into a domain controller and manage both equally?

Are the network settings correct on both boxes.

Do you have a group policy that might prevent certain networks from =
accessing=20
this machine. Maybe an IPSEC policy. go to a command prompt and type =
gpresults this will list all group policies both machine are subscribed =
to.

I think you mentioned this, you create a local user on both machines =
with the same passwords, log into machine A and try to access Machine B, =
does this get an error?

Does the remote machine have a firewall or something in-between the =
machines?

Hope that helps
