FM 9 Value List Bug?

FM 9 Value List Bug?

Hi,
I just upgraded to FM 9 Adv.
Went and logged into a FM database thats has been running perfectly
with v 8.5 and I found that one of my value lists does not list any
items.
Went back and logged in with 8.5 - value list works fine.

This value list is defined using the "Use Values From Field" combined
with the "Include only related values starting from " options.

Other value list that do not include the "Include only related values
starting from " option work fine.
Seems like a FM 9 bug since it doesn't happen in 8.5.
Any one else experiencing this?

Thanks,
Vincent

I never heard of this particular behavior as being a reported FM 9
bug. I have heard that FM 9 may handle null values in relationhips
slightly differently than 8.5. I don't recall exactly, but this could
be your problem, or you could have corruption in your file.

Why don't you check to make sure the relationship is working properly
by creating a layout based on the "Starting from..." table occurence
and putting a portal from the other TO on there and seeing what you
get.

Hi,
Thanks for the replie.
The relationship in question is working right - there is an existing
layout bases on it in the database and the portal lists the records
correctly.
That's what really threw me?
