Renaming Header variable

I have to rename some header variable. How can I do this with Apache
configuration file?
We wanto to remove "HTTP_" prefix from some Header variable.

you have to unset it and set another one, but it depends what version
of apache, and whether you are using a proxy which sets them after
your server etc...
