IIS and Frontpage problems after 2000 Server rebuild

Greetings,

This week I had the joy of discovering that my Trend Micro
ServerProtect was exploited and my server compromised.

I have backed up the system, reformatted and reinstalled the OS. I am
now patched again and online. I restored my IIS folders and then ran
the Check Permissions wizard choosing the public template. I then ran
the Check Server Extensions wizard. Web content is up and running.
However, FrontPage access to my IIS is no longer working. When
connecting to the web root or a sub web, FrontPage reports this web is
protected by a password but doesn't offer to authenticate.

Can anyone point me to a good resource for IIS recovery?
