IIS Installation asks for IIS_iis_switch.bat file
IIS Installation asks for IIS_iis_switch.bat file
am 06.09.2007 20:14:49 von AlexBohner
I have a Server 2003 SP2 file server that has worked flawlessly for
months on end. This morning I attempted to install the IIS components
from the "Manage Your Server" interface, it asked for the standard SP2
files, then the Server 2003 files which I successfully supplied, but
then it asked for the 'IIS_iis_switch.bat' file on Windows Server
2003, Standard Edition CDRom. Huh? I have searched high and low but
have been unable to locate this file anywhere.
So, my actual question is: Does this file really exist? Has anyone
ever seen this file? Did I do something to deserve this trouble, or
is this simply a problem with the sequence of installation events? I
have looked everywhere, and tried everything I can think of, any and
all suggestions are welcome!
Thanks,
Alex

it should be iis_switch.bat after it is installed.
the 'IIS_iis_switch.bat' is inside iis6.cab.
can you try add / remove windows component to install iis?

I have this problem too. I have some different cd with different version of
Windows Server. I guess it may be I take wrong cd. I was right. After I take
cd from which I install Windows Server the problem just disappear.
