Setting CodePage to UTF-8 May Generate Output with Mismatched Char

Setting CodePage to UTF-8 May Generate Output with Mismatched Char

I have a genral question about Article ID 295063. The article is located on
the following link.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295063/en-us.

It states that the fix is appied to Microsoft Internet Information Server
1.0 - 5.0. I need to know if the fix is also included in version 6.0. The
Article ID is dated November 21, 2006.

Is it possible release 6.0 was made after that date and the page was not
updated?

I would not say that this is a problem with IIS. If you say that the page
is in UTF-8 (by using CodePage), you obviously also need to save it as
UTF-8.

So that article applies to IIS 6. The concept also applies to every other
application working with different encodings. Whatever you say the
encoding is, it must also be this.
