When there is not index.html page in a directory, apache return listing of
directories and files.
How to do for not listing files and directories ?

I have exactly the opposite problem - my apache (1.3.37) has been showing
index listings all along, until today.
What could have changed? We have a dynamic IP, so every time Verizon
reassigns it I have to edit my httpd.conf, and go update the nameserver
(zoneedit.com), but other than that, I haven't changed anything. I'll
copy my whole httpd.conf below;
I used to be able to go to my main page, and when I went to, for example,
http://www.abiengr.com/images it would show me a directory listing of
/images. Now it just sits there. But when I go to, say,
http://www.abiengr.com/Karen/index.html , it displays index.html, but
just http://www.abiengr.com/Karen/ used to show Karen's directory list,
but today it doesn't.
And I haven't changed anything!
Could my DSL provider have anything to do with that? They're
www.verizon.net; what else do you need to know?
I've got my whole /etc/apache/httpd.conf below, except for the comments.
Any ideas? All I want to do is be able to see a directory list like it
used to. )-;
