web server HA
am 12.09.2007 00:52:03 von ChrisSince I don't have SAN for clustering for our web servers I'd like to set up
to member server for HA. Is it possible? If so, how can keep both synched?
Can I use MS NLB?
Thanks.

Chris,
You can use Network Load Balancing to distribute the load, but it
doesn't keep the servers in sync. You can do all kinds of custom sync
solutions, but an easy out of the box solution that I've used before
is called PeerSync, which should meet your needs. You can get a trial
at www.peersync.com
Will,
Thanks for the info. I'll take a look at peersync. Right now, I'm using
Robocopy to copy folders between servers. Besides doing that I'd like a
software to sync the websites between servers? Such as if I created a new
website on server 1 the sync software will also replicate or create a same
website on server 2 and copy all the physical folders related to the new site
from server 1 to server 2. Can peersync do that?
Thanks.
