I am trying make a site under IIs 6.0 respond to both www.mysite.com and
mysite.com

Do you have to change the TCP port or host header, the site responds to www
requests, but without the www it does not.

Thanks

Neither.

You need to have DNS route both www and without www to your IP with
the right hostname, and configure those host names in IIS and it
should all work.

If it doesn't, the problem is with your network configuration. The
only necessary IIS configuration is a website hostname binding for
both www and without-www. No TCP port or anything else, unless you
have other networking requirements that need it.

Hi,

Can you resolve the mysite.com domain name to your webserver's IP address?
I think the problem is name resolution and not IIS. Did you do the proper
changes in the DNS server?

How can you add a"A" record in your DNS for mysite.com with nothing to the
left of it i.e. www.

Thanks

What DNS server do you use?

I think this question is better answered in a DNS newsgroup or by the
people administrating your DNS server.
