Can I Merge 2 FileMaker Pro 8.5 Databases Into One?

Hi, I have two databases: 1. Quite extensive and has been building
over the last 6 years. 2. Is a template that had excel information
imported into it and then modified.
I do not have enough room on my server to host this second database
and it really could be part of the first database.
Is there a way to merge databases without exporting the data,
importing into the first database and recreating the layouts?
Thanks

I assume this limit is on the number of files, rather than the total
size of the files? I'd expect a merged database to be nearly as big as
the two it came from.

You can do some of this with the Advanced version.
It is possible to import entire tables (with schema and data) and
scripts directly from another database.
You can't import layouts, but you can copy and paste them and reassign
database objects to each graphical element.
