Use 1 Static IP Address for multiple Websites
am 23.09.2007 00:39:45 von Samuel Shulman
I have 1 static IP address and I would like to use it for more than 1
website
What's important is that I can't nest the websites in sub folders, e.g it
has to be www.website1.com/ and not www.website.website1
I have win XP and IIS 5.1
Thank you,
Samuel

First thing you'll have to do is get a Server O/S. XP is limited to a
single website.
Once you have something more suitable (like Windows Server 2003 for example)
you can use host headers with your single static IP and run as many sites as
you want.

Hello,
What is the purpose of having multiple websites? You cannot have multiple
websites running at the same time on Windows XP. You will need a server OS
for that (or Vista).
This article may be useful for you to read, it has some suggestions:
"Multiple websites on Windows XP Professional"
