SetEnv seems to remember old setting

Hi all,
I need to set different values for an environment variable accessing
to a specified directories.
I have something like this:

#################TEST#############
Alias /test1/ "/tmp/"

SetEnv TEST test1
AddHandler cgi-script .cgi
DirectoryIndex index1.cgi
Options +Indexes +ExecCGI +FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
Order allow,deny
Allow from all


Alias /test2/ "/tmp/"

SetEnv TEST test2
AddHandler cgi-script .cgi
DirectoryIndex index2.cgi
Options +Indexes +ExecCGI +FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
Order allow,deny
Allow from all


despite I set SetEnv in each directory web server seem to remember
only one value (the first it knows).

How Can I tell apache to set the right value for TEST variables?
