No external access to website

WHen accessing my website internally it works but externallly I get an
http 500. What is the cause of this error?

Hi,

Please check the IIS log file and event log for error messages related to
this. We know nothing about its cause right now, because there can be
plenty of things. The log will tell you more.

Are you sure this is coming from your server? Because it seems strange
that it would work locally but not from the Internet. IIS does not make
any difference to requests like that.
