IE7 and SSL Cert issue

IE7 and SSL Cert issue

am 27.09.2007 20:30:25 von ERoss

Hi all,

I know, IE 7 handles SSL a little better than past versions - :-)

But is there a way to to tell it to stop with the warnings on an SSL
site that I know is secure - but does not have a wildcard SSL Cert ???

the SSL site can be accessed through a corporate portal (95% of users) &
outside the portal (5%)

Since I don't have a wildcard cert - everything outside the portal with
IE7 always does the "name is different...." error - you have to press
the continue to site ....

even adding to "safe" list does the same - can this be gotten around
somehow ???

tx
