Can Clients equipped with FMPro 8 work on a network that is using Filemaker
Pro 9 Advanced Server to host the database.
or is it necessary to upgrade the clients to FM Pro 9 to work with the

FM Server 9 will support connections from FM7 and up.
Its only necessary to upgrade the clients if the database being
accessed uses features that were added in a newer version.
In other words, an FM7 client will have issues running a database
designed using the features of FM9. But both FM8 and FM9 will be fine
running a database designed using the features of FM7.
