I am using PHPDev5 for learning php, while trying to using php mail
function on local machine I could not get successful.
Does it require some extra settings
I am using PHPDev on Win XP
Please reply.

Please read the manual first. PHP's manual is rather a good one. If you
type "mail" in the search box at www.php.net, you get this page:
http://nl3.php.net/manual/en/ref.mail.php
It is that easy. It is also the very first source for trouble shooting.
