IIS install

I have Windows Media Center version and would like to install IIS on my
computer.

I went to control panel --> add/ remove program --> add windows Components
--> checked IIS.

Aftger installation, I am unable to access
http://localhost/iisHelp/iis/misc/default.asp
I got HTTP errorcode 500.

Is it possible my pop-up block or virus or something I do not know?
