Not at all, as it is not apparent to the first tab where the driver is inst=
alled.
If you have not installed the MyODBC before, then none of=
your DSN's will reflect the new driver.
To ensure that it's ins=
talled, go to the DRIVERS tab and scroll all the way to the bottom. You sho=
uld see it listed.
When you go to add a new DSN (System, File, o=
r User), you can choose the new MyODBC driver from that list.
If=
this is not your first install, and you were simply upgrading it, the chan=
ges will not be apparently unless you EDIT one of your existing DSNs. That'=
s where you will see the changes.

Silly Question 1: Is it in Add/Remove Programs?
Silly Question =
2: Have you rebooted your server since the install? You shouldn't have to,=
but this is Windows we are talking about, and you may have to restart if y=
ou have not done so in a while.
If the answer to Question 1 is N=
O, then there is your issue.
If the answer to Question 1 is YES,=
but the answer to Question 2 is NO, then reboot.
If the answer =
to Questions 1 AND 2 are YES, then yes, it is very odd... But we will work =
it out.
And again, just to make sure we are looking in the right=
spot >> START > ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > Data Sources (ODBC), right?

You're running 64 bit Windows 2003 Server and you're using the 64 bit ODBC
tool. But the MyODBC driver is 32 bit. There's a 32 bit ODBC
Administrator at:
%SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
You can create a shortcut to it and then use it instead to manage MyODBC
data sources.

Be careful, you won't see it in the list of user data sources until you
have created one. Try adding a data source and you should see "MySQL
ODBC 3.51 Driver" in the list. If it's not there, THEN you have a
problem.
I got confused by this initially too.
