Weird Problem linking to external Web pages with 7.0

I finally figured out how to link to web pages using a simple
script, and a button in my records. However, when I cut and paste the
URL into my record, it looks fine but acts weird.

I go to the web page such as http://www.amazon.com/good-times/........
and cut the URL and paste it into my field. When I click the button
to go to the page, FM Pro 7 goes to page http://www.amazon.com//good-times/........
And I get a 404 error.

If I cut and paste everything in the link with the exception of the
http:// then it works fine. As in the example www.amazon.com/good-times/........
Goes to the right link then. You'll notice the link that does not
work has a double slash mark after the .com and that is what is
causing it to not work. If I remove 1 of the slashes, it works
fine.

Just trying to figure out what is adding the extra slash in there
when I cut and paste the entire URL.

Any ideas?

None of the links are supposed to work here, just an example....

Sam, I have tried

"http://www.marquise.de/en/misc/links.shtml"

Which is an existing page and I didn't get any error
