Conditionnel format FM9

Hi
Is there another way to make a design object (Square, lines...) to be format
conditionnal to a calculation ??
In the past I was switch layout #1 and #2 so the color is not the same when
we go to a "close account" every thing turn red so no one will make mistach
and do service overthere... now I'm working with FM9... but background
object can't be format.... and putting a container feild with a switching
picture make the redraw painless, any work around ??
Did someone contact FM to put that as a new feature in new version ?!?!
cause I will
Thank you
JF

You should definitely put in such a feature request, but perhaps you can
take a different approach for now.
One way might be to put conditional formatting on all fields and layout
text to turn them all red when desired.
Another approach might be to just created a new text block, type
'closed' into it, make it red and 72-points big and bold, and then set
the conditional formatting calc to make it white (or whatever your
background color is) if the record is not closed. You can also do it
the opposite way (white/background by default and then red if closed),
but I like having the color by default so that I can see it in layout mode).

With the ability to now name layout objects, it's likely that some sort
of script control over them will follow ... otherwise why bother being
able to name them. Of course that doesn't help with the current
version.
