System Administrator

I've had an HP Media Center for several years. Windows Home XP. Just lost
"Control Panel". Any attempts to do major things are met with a message that
I'm not authorized and to contact the System Administrator. It's a stand
alone home computer. Any ideas on how to regain control?

No, but asking in an appropriate Windows XP group, rather than in this .NET
programming group will get you a lot more help.

To find the group you need:

Select your language from the Tree View on the left, then scroll down to
Windows. In
Windows, select Windows XP and find an applicable group there.
