How to combine 2 Access databases?

How to combine 2 Access databases?

am 14.10.2007 04:51:16 von zalek

Hello,

I have at home and at work a program that adds info to a local Access
data base. That means that my home Access and work Access database are
not in sync.
My question - how to sync both databases?

Thanks,

Zalek

For MDB databases (pre-Access 2007 ACCDB, which dropped support for it), you
can use replication, but be aware it is "not for the faint of heart." A
good resource on the subject is Michael Kaplan's site
http://www.trigeminal.com. I would not venture to offer any additional
advice on the subject.

Using Windows Terminal Services or any number of other remote access
programs you can work on your work PC at home. Thus there is only one
database, and the entire problem goes away.
