Reverse Proxy Translations
am 19.10.2007 09:00:20 von jm_mcgrathHoping to gather some comments on this particular issue.
Enviroment: Apache 2.0.59 reverse proxying to Domino Web Server/
Application Server.
Flow: A user logs into the "ARP" using third party authentication
means which posts an authentication cookie. The header and value are
sent to the 'all in one' Domino system which validates and provides
access to resource.
Issue: This works fine when I have translations using the root of the
APR but not when I try and create a unique name.
Example:
Successful APR configuraiton: ProxyPass / http://intra.stage.myops.on.ca/
ReverseProxyPass /
http://intra.stage.myops.on.ca/
"bad" configuration: ProxyPass /stage http://intra.stage.myops.on.ca/
ProxyPassReverse /stage
http://intra.stage.myops.on.ca/
It appears as though the cookie/header is appropriately set *and* read
with the first configuration. The second configuration, however,
provides "unable to authenticate you" messages. Assuming that the
change in translations is affecting how and what is sent to the
'backend' server.
Comments? ... sincere thanks. .j
