my project recommendation

Hi
I am developing a cvs system us php, it is web based. I am planning
to user mysql to store all the files and directories, so it can
supports versioning. If i use DB to store files, is it too slow?

I'm curious as to why you're trying to re-invent CVS in the first
place.
