PHP to Fax
am 19.10.2007 20:40:51 von rojelio
So I know I can fax from my computer so I'm guessing there is a way to
get PHP to fax.
I have a program that allows for a customer to be emailed or faxed
certain information.
If PHP can't do this maybe you know whether ASP or asp.net can do it.
But basically I just want to click a button and have it fax...

What's wrong with The Natural Philosopher's response to you when you
asked this same question yesterday (using "laredotornado@zipmail.com" as

I'd LOVE to know the back-story on this would-be hacker.

You did get a response to the first time you posted - under another
name, but we can prove it WAS you. So don't give us that crybaby story.
And with your attitude people are not going to be interested in
responding to you.

I know how to read headers. And there's nothing that indicates that both
postings were sent from the same account. All headers that matter are
different, which is why I ask. So, you should prove your point and post
the relevant header lines.

Obviously you don't.
Since you seem to be totally incompetent (no surprise there):
From the first message:
Injection-Info: e34g2000pro.googlegroups.com; posting-host=67.190.94.163;
posting-account=ps2QrAMAAAA6_jCuRt2JEIpn5Otqf_w0
From the second message:
Injection-Info: e34g2000pro.googlegroups.com; posting-host=216.139.93.186;
posting-account=ps2QrAMAAAA6_jCuRt2JEIpn5Otqf_w0
Note the posting account is identical.
Now - learn how to read headers before you make a fool of yourself again.

You shouldn't always believe what you see or read.
>Now - learn how to read headers before you make a fool of yourself again.
Then maybe you can explain this to me:
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22posting-account=ps2QrAMAAA A6_jCuRt2JEIpn5Otqf_w0%22&num=25&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
19,000 results just for this particular header line from all around the
world and all different kinds of websites? I don't think he's really
that famous.
Or what about this: In my newsreader I currently have 28,075 postings in
various German and English newsgroups. 2,760 of them have a 'posting-
account' in their headers. And 2,599(!) times it's exactly this value:
ps2QrAMAAAA6_jCuRt2JEIpn5Otqf_w0
To the point: The 'posting-account' ID in the headers is _not_ unique to
the poster. In fact I haven't seen any two GG postings with _different_
IDs yet! Some people think it's just the ID of an internal GG server or
something like that, but it's _definitely_ not related to the poster in
any kind, so there's no evidence whatsoever that the two postings in
question came from the same person.
So you should be a bit more careful about who you call incompetent.
It might fire back.

The string is not unique. But in this header it is the google groups
account used to post the message. The account id is unique within
google groups.
But this belongs to a well-known troll. I wouldn't be surprised at the
number of posts. In fact, in a way I'm surprised it isn't higher. And
some of your hits are people talking about it.
And if you don't know that, you are incompetent.

Wrong too (or maybe correct in the sense that there's only one at all).

Then this troll really has a lot of names:
GarryJones
Zayde
ZeldorBlat
Captain Paralytic
Vladimir Ghetau
shimmyshack
Gandalf
C.
K.J.Williams
[...]
You should know most of them, as they appear quite regularly in this
group. Ever checked their headers?

So he not only posts from many different hosts all around the world, he
also speaks a dozen different languages and causes nearly 10% of all the
traffic in the newsgroups I use.

No - looking at the message body is what confirms that it's the same poster.
While it *could* be an organized conspiracy by a whole lotta people to post
nonsense, using the same language style and word patterns, that's not
likely.
A couple of years ago, I had a problem with a similar poster.
I thought she was stalking me - but it turns out she was just identifying
people local to her, and then sending out tantrums to them.
No point to it - it's just that, like you, she was spoiling for a fight and
had already driven everyone IRL away.
She used several aliases and was quite adept at using anonymizing services
(like google) to broadcast her crap.
But the one thing she couldn't mask was her personality.
A quick search on some keyphrases she used, and I found a bunch of
anti-Mexican tantrums that she posted on her church's discussion forum.
I called the church's pastor, asked him who she was, and read some of her
stuff to him.
He helped me to identify the woman as Ginger Germany of SE Dallas - a very
lonely, very ugly, very drunken bigot in his church.
A day or so later, she posted my mothers tax info on the web, and I replied
to the post with her name, address and phone number.
She freaked for a post or two - but then she backed off.
I didn't track her down from the headers.
I tracked her down from the body.

Just because two people ask the same question? There's no particular
wording or "l33t" speak to indicate that both came from the same person.
Maybe you want to elaborate on that?
The postings also came from different networks. Of course that's no
proof, but there's also absolutely no evidence that both posters were
the same. Until now all you've got (if any) are some very weak hints.
And then there's also the comment from Jerry, that "this" (with regard
to the posting-account ID) belongs to a well-known troll - two wrong
claims in just one sentence:
1) The posting-account ID doesn't belong to any poster at all.
2) "Well-known" indicates that this guy has already been seen earlier
and regularly, but there's no evidence of that either.
So, even if this should happen to be the same person - until now both
you and Jerry failed to prove your points. Currently it's just hot air,
nothing more.

It's called "pattern recognition" and to answer your question - no, I only
provide the GOOD security support to people I trust.
You have too often posted such irrational and angry things - I'd be a fool
to help you in this matter.
I don't let suspects handle my sidearm, I don't give strangers my car keys,
I don't vote Republican, and I don't instruct angry nerds in how to break
internet anonymity. It's too self-defeating.

No, Micha, it's you who are full of hot air.
And you know everything, so I'm not going to bother to educate you on
the intricacies of reading headers. It's too easy to do.
And BTW - I said "well known troll". I did not say "well known in
comp.lang.php".

Actually, it can be proven fairly easily. But Micha will just discount
the proof.

You still didn't explain how the header in question happens to appear in
a thousand postings from all around the world, even in postings from
many different well-known regulars of this group. How can this be?
Enlighten me.

I never said that it was only about clp. But Google Groups knows how
many postings from this guy? 4? Maybe 5? That's not what I call a "well-
known troll".

Until now you wasn't able to prove it. Your only "proof" was based on a
single header, which also appears in thousands of other postings, many
of which posted by regulars of this and other newsgroups as shown in
. You didn't answer
that posting. Why?

Because I'm tired of arguing with an idiot.
And if you notice, I wasn't talking to you this time, either.

Well - it wasn't explained well enough to overcome your wilfull igonrance,
but it was explained.
Sometimes, you just have to accept that you do not understand a thing and
get on with life.

No, you didn't answer it because it shows that you're wrong by claiming
that the posting-account header says something about the poster. That's
the whole point. I've given enough examples that show the opposite.
>And if you notice, I wasn't talking to you this time, either.
That's Usenet.

Nothing was explained, it was just a false claim. And this particular
simple question from above was not answered at all. Or did I miss the
answer? Then it should be easy enough for you to post the message ID.
>Sometimes, you just have to accept that you do not understand a thing and

You're the right one to say that.

Dude Jerry you're full of it. I don't have the time nor the desire to
post under different names. What would be the point? And you know
what... there's a big world out there I'm sure there are hundreds of
similar questions on various topics.
Conspiracy theories? WTF? LOL you people.
