IIS Migration tool (iismt.exe)
IIS Migration tool (iismt.exe)

If I run iismt.exe to migrate my existing IIS 5.0 website to my IIS 6.0
(W2003) does it leave my IIS 5.0 website intact? In other words will my IIS
5.0 webiste still works after the migration? Any comments or answers will be
greatly appreciated.

Hello Bernard,
It is possible through iismt.exe to migrate -lets say for example-
hundreds of sites from
a IIS 5.0 box to IIS 6.0 ??
I searched the swiches of the iismt.exe command but there isn't any
switch for massive migration and as you understand ,if you want to migrate
hundreds of sites you will not use switches like : "w3scv/1
....w3svc/2...w3svc/3....w3svc/4" manually or defining every time the name
of the web site with their parameters...we talk for hundreds of sites and
we look for a massive solution-migration.
If you have in mind anything about this,i would appreciate it to help me.
Thanks in advance
Best Regards,
Cipher

No, it supports one site migration at a time, you can migrate multiple
websites at the same time.
To do so you need third party tool like iisexport.
