IWP on LAN... can I push through to internet?

I have a FMP hosted file... IWP... it's on a LAN machine w/ a Static
IP.
My external (WAN) IP is also a static IP address...
How do i push my LAN FMP IWP files through to the outside world??

You setup port forwarding on your NAT router to send web traffic (port
80) to the LAN ip address. If its secured, (https:/ ) you'll need to
forward https:/ as well (port 443)
How is is actually done depends on your router.

Actually... one quick question...
once the portforwarding is complete... what would be the URL i need to
provide...
I'm thinking: http:\\WAN:Port\fmi\iwp
sound right?

If it works on your LAN then your port forwarding is setup
incorrectly, and/or you have a firewall issue. The issue is not
filemaker related. The port forwarding is completely transparent to
filemaker; it doesn't even know its happening.
If it doesn't even work on your LAN, you definitely would need to
resolve that first.

Thanks Dave! It does work on my LAN, but i recently just got a
hosting company so these concerns are a thing of the past!!
But my curious nature will keep me working on this.
