anyone know this error msg?

"PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 01C21255"

I'm running a very simple script, that fails when I run it, though
other seem to be able to use it (see this thread:
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.php/browse_thread/t hread/4b5602c289865a7d/#)

when I run via Firefox, initially I see the above error msg, then I
get the Firefox standard "The connection was reset" message.

.... seem to indicate that you won't have a problem if you use the latest
version of PHP. Do you know what version you are running?

It's definitely an IIS only problem, so keep sniffing that way, but do make
sure your installation is the latest and greatest.

Hi GM

Tanks for the suggestions and link

I'm uing PHP v5.2.4, which I understand is the latest.. i's a brand
new installtion, as of yesterday. I'll read through the bg reports (I
was searching for what I now see if a local value not the static part
of the error msg, which explains why I found nothing in google).

Final update.. having rolled bck to 5.2.0 the error no longer appears.
Following your idea, GM, I search for teh generic "PHP has encountered
an Access Violation at" and found a few (not many mind) posts that
said this was a 'bug' introduced after 5.2.1, so rolling back to 5.2.0
should fix it, and so far it has for me.

Cheers
