CD/DVD problem

Hi All,
The prob is this: Computer used to play DVD's no problem at all (it has
InterVideo WinDVD).
Now it will do anything you like with CD's etc... it does everything its
supposed to EXCEPT play DVD's. The CD/DVD drive just makes a little noise
then ignores the DVD.
This has been happening for a while. System restore doesn't help.
Troubleshooter says everything is ok.
HELP!!
