very nice. Never saw it before
This is elegant, soft content-hiding. Many sites try to hide some
content, so i hope this is not out topic...

The image is a background image, it is not masked? Author is
using spacer gifs all over the show. Anyway, someone should tell
him the show breaks bad when user font-size is not what he
expects...

The same trick is used by Google Book Search. Casual content thieves
will probably decide to go somewhere else; a determined content thief
will easily defeat this trick, though.
If you use Firefox and have the Web Developer extension installed, the
image can be accessed via the "View Image Information" item on the
"Images" menu. Nice and easy!
