Launch excel file from Access
Launch excel file from Access

Is it possible to actually launch an Excel document embedded within
Access? I want it to open up in Excel, not in an Access form. It's a
very large formatted spreadsheet and I fear it really wouldn't be very
user friendly to have it embedded in a form.
Thanks for any guidance.

Thanks for the link, Jana. Unfortunately, I need to store the Excel
file WITHIN the Access database. We do not have a shared server, so I
can't open the document directly via a path.

Well, that's outta my league. I have no idea how you would do that.
Can you save the excel file to the same location as the database? Or,
can you make a report that displays the same data?

Too much data, I think. It's actually much better suited to a table,
but the Access tables are too ugly for my prissy customers. If it
isn't pretty and shiny, it isn't valid.
