SQL 2005 table incrementing integer in Access front end

I have a SQL 2005 box serving up data to an Access application. One
of
the users prefers to go into the table to enter certain repetitive
data. The problem is that when he types in one number and arrows down
to the next record, the value is being filled in automatically with
the next number. The field is not set to identity in SQL and does not
register in access as an autonumber. Can this be turned off so that
it
does not auto increment?
