Obtaining column type in Oracle table

Using the Oracle module, how does one obtain the type of a column in a
table? For example, how do we know if a column is a VARCHAR or a NUMBER?

Whilst I can find a plethora of modules on CPAN containing "Oracle" in
their name I can't find one simply called "Oracle". Are you _sure_
that's its full name? Where did you get it?
