Incidentally, the availability of this update was mentioned on this
newsgroup on November 1st, in the "Leopard compatibility" thread.

They have said that there will be an update "in December" for fixing
Instant Web Publising in version 9, another one "in December" for 8.5 to
fix its most serious problems (regional settings and Excel export) but
not Instant Web Publishing.
FileMaker Server 9 will be updated for Leopard compatibility early next
year.

It includes both FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Pro Advanced. For some
reason they did the Windows version as two separate downloads but the
Mac version as a single combined one.
There were quite a few feature changes, not just Leopard compatiblity
fixes. This has resulted in a large update which affects most of the
files inside the FileMaker Pro installation.
It is a typical Mac installer which simply copies replacement files into
the application and associated support files, rather than trying to
apply patches to old versions of files. It has been distributed in some
kind of compressed format. (It is in a proprietary format so it is hard
to tell exactly what is inside the package.)
In total, the entire installation directory for my copy of FileMaker Pro
9 Advanced is 568.1 MB. Admittedly it wouldn't have to update every
single file, but it looks like a lot of it was replaced.

Their published statements say basically what I paraphrased above
(unless they've updated them since - I haven't looked in the last week
or so).
See
They have separate FAQ entries regarding 8.5 and earlier. (Thanks to
Howard Schlossberg for posting these earlier.)

That seems large for FMP7, since it isn't Universal, and the entire FMP7
install is only about 100 MB (which includes several parts that won't be
in the runtime). The FMP7 application itself (on the Mac) is about 42
MB, so I'd expect the runtime to be a fair amount smaller than that.
The Mac version of the FMP9 runtime is about 66 MB. If you add the
Extensions folder it is about 77 MB.
I haven't looked at the Windows version recently but I recall it is
similar (but organised as a large mess of files in a folder, rather than
the Mac's much tidier bundled application with a separate extensions
folder).

Try removing the line breaks (and surrounding diamond brackets). The
second one worked fine for me (didn't try the other two).
I can't post an unbroken link (short of using tinyurl.com) because my
newsreader insists on line lengths not exceeding 80 characters. The
diamond brackets are usually enough of a marker to allow newsreaders to
recognise the ends of the URL (e.g. by command-clicking on it).
