metabase.bin partially not there in iis 6.0

hi,

on some w2k3 machines i see the "old" iis 5.x metabase.bin in the \inetsrv
folder, in some not. what is the reason behind? is it due to any servicepack
of w2k3 does not include it anymore or so?

Hi Fritz,

The metabase.bin should be there on all machines for backward compatibility
even though it's not used:

You will notice that there is a known bug where that file is not created on
some clean installations:
