Help: changing file options open/close tab
Help: changing file options open/close tab
am 15.11.2007 16:55:57 von Diego B
Hi all,
I have the following problem: I defined a filemaker file and protected
it by the open/close tab in File options letting guest log-in only, so
that nobody could change the layout.
Now I am in the needing of change it but I cannot ! I cannot change
priviledges as well
I remember to have read an article sometime ago regarding a key
combination to hit just during the opening of the
file so that it will be possible to change file options...anyone does
know that key or has another workaround to share ?
Thank you in advance
Diego

On a Mac, press Alt, on Windows, press shift before and while you open
the file. You get the login window.
Unless you have changed the original privleges, there's a user by the
name of "Admin" with no password who'll have full access.
Good luck.

If at all possible don't use the auto password options during log-in but
present the user with a password window. At least until testdriving is over.
AND keep an open (non-protexted) version for your own use and for safety)
Keep well, Ursus
