Problems with IIS 6.0

Problems with IIS 6.0

am 20.11.2007 15:15:27 von Werner Schmidt

Hi,

I installed a new SBS 2003 R2 SP2 two weeks ago. There are all updates
installed. I migrated the active directory from the old SBS 2000. The server
name is the same. I worked with a temporary server. There is no data from
the old IIS.

We found the first problems with the IIS by loading the OWA. There are just
boxes with red crosses and loading in the main window. Nothing happened, not
even after pressing F5.

The problem is on the server and all clients. On one client, that displays
the OWA site from other servers correct, there is the same error.

Then I configured SSL for the OWA. Also without success and with red
crosses. After activating forms based authentication, we get the error
message: 440 login timeout. The event logs are all without error

Moreover, I have the problem that Synciwam.VBS reports the error 80110414.
Following Microsoft documents I have already done: 255770, 269367, 297989,
332167 and 883380. Only the companyweb page works.

On the old server, I already had similar problems but then I was able to
take another server. But this time the OWA must run.

The active directory is the only thing from the old server.

Now I have no more ideas.

Thanks

Does everything work BEFORE you migrated the Active Directory from the
old SBS2000.

We never tried OWA on the old server. But we had the same problems with the
share point team services website on the old server. But for this we took
another server and didn't solved the problem. But now the OWA must run on
the SBS 2003.

I'm asking if OWA runs on the SBS2003 after you installed SBS2003 but
BEFORE you migrated the active directory from the old SBS2000.

Perhaps you had something wrong that you are simply carrying over. So
the problem is hardly with IIS6 or SBS2003.

Because I'm not having problems with clean installations of SBS2003
and OWA or Outlook.

I migrated the active directory before I installed exchange 2003. It was
described here:
http://www.sbsmigration.com/
I did this several times with no errors.

I just installed a VM in the same way with the same actice directory and the
OWA error is here too. I think the error must be in the active directory but
I don't know where.

I found the error. The both IIS users had time/machine restricted access.
