Windows Explorer after Office 2007
am 22.11.2007 21:18:02 von digrega
After installing Microsoft Office 2007 + desktop search, Windows explorer
began to give me all kinds of errors including a DR Watson, which I haven't
seen since installing XP.
I found a forum some where on the net that suggested uninstalling Desktop
search which I did. I got Windows explorer to work partially by that I mean
as follows:
1-Restarting the PC allows me to open Explorer once and as soon as I close
the open window I'm not able to reopen it or any other including Control
Panel.
2-Shuting down and restarting gives me the folowing error
END PROGRAM EXPLORER.EXE
This program is not responding.
3-Looking at Task Manager/Applications I don't see Explorer running, and the
Task Manager/Processes shows explorer.exe CPU=00 or 01.
The only way I can make Explore work is to open a window and keep it open as
soon as I close it I'm done and I need to restart.
Thanks in advance for any help
God Bless

Hello digrega,
This question best relates to windows or office NG.
I just recommend to use the System Restore Point to return you system to
the pre-destopSearch-installing state

I would love to but prior to installing office 2007 I had five restore points
after installing Office 2007 they were all gone, so I'm stuck.
