Hi All,
I tried to install FM server 9 adv on Windows Vista: first I installed
the IIS, then restarted the machine
and finally I installed FM server. Yet, IIS is not detected and I
cannot configure a web server.
I tried to search on-line but this problem was not mentioned
elsewhere...
any ideas ?

Download the update for FM9 and vista, this just might solve your problems.

Unfortunately, I update FM server to 9.02 (downloading a package of ~
42 MB from filenmaker.com) and Vista
is updated, but FM server still does not "see" IIS in Vista...
or do you mean an update of FM server 9 specific for Vista ? In that
case, I could not find it, might you
provide a link ?
I also had the same problem, server 9, trial version did not see IIS
on adjacent machines, server is on win 2k sp4. I put everything on
the win2k machine, and it now recognizes IIS, but now the php site
assistant isnt able to connect and open the main database..... it says
connecting, but never does.....
FileMaker Server is not certified for Vista. The version of IIS is
different then what FMS requires. See

I'm having the same problem with 2003 and FileMaker Server 9. IIS is
up and running... I can even see FileMaker putting "fmi-test" into my
default website.
Any help would be great.

Sorry... I didn't explain my problem fully.
I am working on a Windows 2003 server running IIS. I know IIS works
as we have a number of other services running.
I am trying to install FileMaker Server 9 trial edition. I can get to
the point where FileMaker sees that we have IIS. When I click test it
comes back with a "Web Server Test Failed" error. What is interesting
is that I can see "fmi-test" in my services list in the IIS manger.
That means that FileMaker DOES in fact have access to IIS. So why the
error?
