I doubt it is. I have a similar config and hardware. No problems.

Both should be running.

Tripwire is an addon. What else has happened to this machine I wonder.

I do not use local.cf which may be the default now but I do believe
that port 25
should be on localhost. Try to find out why it isnt.

/lib/svc/method/smtp-sendmail is a starting point
