Is it possible or feasible to load one version of Access (2003) and the new
version (2007) on the same hard drive and run appliecations on each one
separately ? If you can, how do you load the new version (2007) on your hard
drive?

Yes: you can run multiple versions at once.
MS recommends installing the older one first. Then install A2007. Be sure to
do a *custom* install, so you can tell it not to remove the previous
version. These 2 versions will go into different folders without destroying
each other. (With older versions, you need to specify a different folder as
part of the custom install.)
When you double-click an MDB file to open it, Windows will use the version
you had open last.
When you switch to a different version, you will see an "Installer" dialog
on screen for about half a minute, as the new version registers itself as
the default. (Before Microsoft released SP1 for Office 2007 last week, this
reinstall took several minutes every time.)
If you always want a particular MDB to start with a particular version,
create a shortcut that include the full path to the appropriate msaccess.exe
and your mdb, and use that shortcut to open it. The Target for the shortcut
would be something like this (one line):
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\MSACCESS.EXE"
C:\MyFolder\MyFile.mdb
