smarthost help

Hi,
this is probably a stupid error, but I'm stuck. :-(

I'm trying to set up my sendmail to use a smarthost (gwyn.kn-
bremen.de). If I
now do

> sudo sendmail -bv martin@oneiros.de
martin@oneiros.de... deliverable: mailer relay, host gwyn.kn-
bremen.de, user martin@oneiros.de
-------------
But sendmail still uses the mx for oneiros.de for mails to
martin@oneiros.de:

Standard initial check:
Have you HUPed (kill -HUP _pid_) or restarted sendmail daemon after
changing *.mc file/sendmail.cf?

Otherwise sendmail daemon remembers sendmail.cf as it was when the
daemon was started.

Yes. Even rebooted the machine. :-)
