File mfcans32.dll needed for Access 97 runtime install ??

Hi all,
I just heard from a sysadmin that there is an error message after =
installing my Acc97 RT app on a new server.
Error message: "Can't open the file mfcans32.dll".
Server: Windows Server2003 R2
A Google search learns that this mfcans32.dll seems to be an OLE2ANSI =
library.
=20
The runtime is a Sagekey Access97 RT distribution from yeas ago.
Has always worked for me but not this time...
Is this an Access-issue or an operating system issue ??
Operating system is Windows 2003 server.
Any idea's ??

No idea. That file is part of Access 97 as per the following KB article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/163997.
Hmm, maybe it's needs registering using regsvr32. Presumably it is in
\Windows\System32 so try Start >> Run >>
Regsvr32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\MFCANS32.DLL"
or in the command prompt.
However given that Sagekey are supplying the runtime I suggest you contact them.

Hi Tony, thanks for the kb link
I think I forgot to mention that the file was even absent on the =
server...
So the file is not in the distribution, OR not installed by the setup.
The sysadmin has copied the file from another computer and tried =
regsrv32=20
It could *not* be registered...(error message)
But ... the app runs now ...
Hmm, I see on the Sagekey website that there is an update for Access 97 =
available.
So I guess I need to create another setup to fix the issue completely.
