what else to get in version 9?
what else to get in version 9?

So my office will be now digitizing out student evaluations as pdfs so we will be inserting them into their records. We've got FMP 6 Unlimited, because we have more than 5 users logging in most times.
I will get FMP9 at least. And I've looked at the product comparison pages at filemaker.
I am confused as to whether we need Advanced or Server or Server Advanced, as we want to have around 70-120 users simultaneously over the web.
We did do CDML for FMP6U and we would like to do something similar with the new FMP we get.
Won't be doing SQL or ODBC or JDBC client. Whatever they are. ;)
Won't be messing around with the database after it is made, besides small tweaks.
I suppose one other main question about FMP9 is how hard is it to do CWP for our office website to have specific links to specific layouts like I did in FMP6U? ARe those XML/XLST/PHP convertors good? We are pretty basic, just like easy forms and general browsing. My scripts are very basic.
In FMP9 IWP, I can have the links go to specific databases, but not specific layouts, right?

There is no longer a product equivalent to "FileMaker Pro Unlimited".
"FileMaker Pro Advanced" doesn't help in any way with the number of
users. Its "Advanced" aspect is the addition of developer tools and
related areas such as a greater support for doing structural changes. It
is the equivalent of the "Developer" edition of FileMaker Pro 6.
In a large multi-user FileMaker network, I'd expect only a small number
of people to be using FileMaker Pro Advanced - primarily the people who
are responsible for developing or maintaining the database (scripting,
layout creation, etc).
Both "FileMaker Pro" and "FileMaker Pro Advanced" only allow a small
number of web users to access the database.
In order to have multiple users connecting to a FileMaker database over
a network (all running FileMaker Pro), you need "FileMaker Server". This
will allow up to 250 users to connect to a hosted database. Each of
those users will need a licence for FileMaker Pro (version 7 or later,
preferably version 9). There is no web access support in FileMaker
Server.
"FileMaker Server Advanced" adds multi-user web access to the database
(instant and custom web publishing), and the means of interacting with
other database systems for a multi-user FileMaker database.
It sounds to me like you need one copy of FileMaker Server Advanced (for
multi-user web access) plus at least one copy of either FileMaker Pro or
FileMaker Pro Advanced, depending on your development requirements.
If in-house access to the database is done with FileMaker Pro rather
than a web browser then you will need a FileMaker Pro licence for each
user, and possibly one copy of FileMaker Pro Advanced for development
purposes. If you aren't doing anything particularly complex you should
be able to manage without FileMaker Pro Advanced.

I'll leave others to answer questions regarding custom web publishing
and CDML - I haven't delved into that.

This was true till 8.x but is no longer true for version 9.
Server Advanced is only responsible for IWP and xDBC-Connectivity.
CWP and PHP publishing is done by the vanilla server.

Thanks for the correction.

there is some different behaviour between windows and mac handling of
pdf as I recall. Can't read a pdf in a container in windoze... can in mac
