Umm... SQUID and IIS are not comparable software.
- SQUID and ISA Server are comparable.
- Apache and IIS are comparable.
Both SQUID and ISA Server can "publish" web servers
Both Apache and IIS can serve as poor-man proxy server with add-on
modules (mod_proxy tends to be bundled with Apache by default, but it
is still an add-on module and not part of "Apache" proper).

we currently have linux web proxies infront of our IIS web servers. We would
like to take the linux web proxies out and just have IIS in the dmz.
can you comment on the pros and cons on this? any links I can look and read
more about this?
