Timeout.queuereturn=6h apparent problem.

Hi,
I am sending lots of email and it seems that alot of outgoing
email gets stuck in the deffered status. I would rather have deferred
email removed from the queue
after 6hours, but it seems from the output of mailq that mail isn't
being removed for 1 full day.
I have Timeout.queuereturn=6h set in /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
my sendmail version is 8.13.x
Thanks for any help
Tyler

Res,
I remember alot of messages in the mail queue saying they were not
able to connect to the mail exchanger
for the outbound domain.
I also remember others were for various reaons.
Either way I wonder if there is a way to just drop messages from the
queue after 6 hours
