Access 2003 SP3 Causing Database Corruption?

Access 2003 SP3 Causing Database Corruption?

Hi All,

I installed Office 2003 SP3 and ever since been experiencing database
corruption. I normally close the database (compact and repair), do a
backup and reopen the database and open a form, any form, I get the
dialog box "Microsoft Office Access has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." with option to
"Repair my open database and restart Microsoft Office Access" and
another option to "Send Error Report". The repair never works and I
never select this option. I need to do a /decompile and then I can use
the database again.

I have made a new database and imported all the objects but still the
same thing happens. I also have another computer with MS-Access 2003
SP3 and it does the same thing.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Cheers,
Barry

That's a known issue in SP3 - and is fixed with this hotfix:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945674/en-us

Thanks, Jens.

That appears to have fixed the problem.
