No access to manage IIS6 -- what happend to my admin account???

Hey all.

just did a complete new reinstall of XPPro/SP2 and have it up and
running...but I can not manage IIS6 via the normal routes?

when I try RUN > inetmgr -- nothing happens.

when I try to do a right/clk on MyComputer > Manage > IIS...I get a dialog
that opens up that says "access denied" ...the username/pw you used to conn
to this machine does not have admin priviliges...pls provide an account with
admin access -- then name and pw fields.

i enter same, and it churns for a minute then I get an error box with only
an OK button -- Server Execution failed... and nothing else happens?

Oh, when I login too, I do NOT get the normal asking for my name/pw either
-- even tho YES, I did enter same during the new clean install...

Seems to me, I'm not in the "admin" group?? and I've no idea on how to fix
this...

Help here lads?
