Cannot open or download file from intranet

Cannot open or download file from intranet

I have a .bat file that I want to be able to run or download that is on my
intranet. However, when I click on it I get a message that it was not found
when I try to right click on it and save it I get the following message:
Internet Explorer cannot download...from ...webserver. Internet Explorer
was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either
unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

However, it works fine using Mozilla Firefox. I thought it was a security
setting so I lowered it to the "low". I made my intranet site trusted. I
don't know what else I need to do?

Thanks,

What is logged in the IIS logfiles?

Are you accessing this file over HTTP or HTTPS?

Cheers

I figured it out. I added a mime type for .bat files and now it works.

Thanks,
